I attended portion of a teacher retreat today in Cedar Springs, Sumas today and missed a bunch of content as I came a day late. We teachers reviewed a book by Steven Vryhof and presented their findings from the various chapters afterward. I had a short but telling conversation with Steven who didn't impress me much with his genuine conversation as he ended it rather briefly. Nice.

On Christian education, I constructed some of my own questions:

• Can a Christian teacher who possesses all these qualities, bring this so-called Christian education to a non-Christian environment? Would this be preferred?
• I wonder, within the context of the Christian School environment, what would a 'final product' student look like, who graduated from a Christian school, look any different than a student from a public school?

I then developed what my 'final product' would look like. In other words, what would a grade 6 student look like after having completed my grade 6 class?

The grade student:

• can make mistakes
• can ask any question
• can think of others
• can comment on a blog, edit a wiki, reset an iPod, connect a computer to a projector, and basically fix anything

Just some thoughts.
